Service Improvement Program

We collect information on how our users use our apps to help us drive further improvements to our products and services, and to provide a better creative experience.

Overview

This program is designed to make it easier to understand what information is shared only by users who consent to share usage information when the app launches.

  • The information we collect is used to improve our apps and services by:
    a) fixing bugs
    b) developing new features
    c) improving the user experience
  • Usage information is only sent with your consent and can be stopped and restarted at any time.

  • Clip Studio Ver.1.11.0 or later
  • Clip Studio Paint Ver.1.11.0 or later

Check your app version by following the steps below.

  • Clip Studio: Help > Version information

What kind of information is collected?

  • System information (device type, OS, screen resolution, etc.) of devices that have launched a Celsys product
  • Information about the Celsys product launched (version number, etc.)
  • Information about app launches, including the number of times the app was launched
  • Usage of product features, including selected/used tools
  • Crash logs

How will the information collected be used?

We will use the information collected from your devices to improve your creative experience in the following ways.

  • To fix bugs
  • To develop new features
  • To improve the user interface
  • To optimize the experience for new users
  • To provide content to help with using the apps, such as tutorials and guides
  • To optimize future services

Does transferring usage information affect the speed of the app?

No, it doesn't. Usage information is transferred in the background at times when it will not impact app performance, so it is unlikely that you will experience any slowdown or other ill effects from the data transmission process.

How is my personal information protected?

Users may rest assured that we take a number of precautions to protect the personal information of our users collected and sent to us.

Will information collected be shared with any third parties?

No. No information collected is shared in a way that is available to third parties. However, information collected is stored on a cloud platform provided by Google LLC and managed by Celsys.

Will your Privacy Policy or Information Collection Policy change in the future?

Yes. We may change these policies in the future to accommodate new technologies, comply with laws, or in other ways as necessary. We will notify users in advance of any important changes, or as required by law, by in-app notification, email, or other means required by law.

What rights do users have regarding the transfer of collected information, and how can those rights be exercised?

The transfer of information in this program is optional and is only activated with user consent. You are free to stop or restart the transfer of information at any time.
Note that you can use the app without limitations regardless of whether or not you consent to transfer usage information.

Once the information has been transferred, can I request it to be deleted or disclosed to me?

Yes. In accordance with the law, we will comply with your requests for: the notification and disclosure (including the divulging of records provided to third parties) of usage purposes for any personal information we possess, as well as the correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or deletion of your personal information.

How can I stop or restart the transfer of my information?

Follow the instructions below to change the settings in the dialog

  • Launch Clip Studio and go to Settings > Privacy Settings to display the dialog
  • In Clip Studio Paint Start Help > Privacy Settings to display the dialog
