Clip Studio Paint EX/PRO Ver. 3.2.0 for Windows / macOS / iPad / iPhone / Galaxy / Android / Chromebook was released on December 3. Ver. 3.2.0 can be used by users of the following plans.

Quick Filters and Quick Effects have been added to the Studio Mode Filter menu. You can adjust the colors using color filters and apply effect filters such as blur, and intuitively make adjustments while previewing the changes.
You can now directly import videos taken with a tablet or smartphone. You can draw on your imported videos and add animations.

We have improved the way that fingers bend when using the Hand Scanner to apply hand poses to 3D drawing figures and 3D character materials.
Operation (3D) has been added to the Shortcut Key Settings dialog box and Command Bar Settings dialog box under the Options setting > Tool Property Palette category. You can change the settings for the On-screen manipulator when a 3D layer is selected with the Object sub tool.

When importing a BVH file onto a 3D drawing figure or a 3D character material, the position of the ground will no longer change even if the pose changes.
When a file in FBX format is imported, the opacity of the texture is now reflected.
When you copy a 3D layer to the clipboard and use the File menu > Create New from Clipboard, the part that extends beyond the original canvas will be clipped.
The default position of the movement manipulator when a 3D material is selected has been changed from inside the guide lines to outside. The selected 3D material and the movement manipulator are now less likely to overlap, making it easier to operate.
When using the movement manipulator to snap and move 3D objects, the selected 3D object will now start moving from its current position instead of moving to the mouse's position.
(Galaxy / Android / Chromebook) You can now directly open and save files stored on shared storage. A file picker has been added so you can select files and folders on shared storage.
(Galaxy / Android / Chromebook) A Clip Studio folder has been added to the Documents folder as the default save destination for automatic save files, etc. The Clip Studio folder is created during the initial startup.
(Galaxy / Android / Chromebook) A maximum has been set on the number of export presets that can be saved to Export (Single Layer) > Export Settings.
(Galaxy / Android / Chromebook) A maximum has been set on the number of images that can be added to the Sub View palette and the Companion Mode sub view.

VRM format files with specific bone configurations can now be imported correctly.
When a Wavefront OBJ file is imported, even if there is a mismatch between the vertex normals and the face angles, it will now be automatically corrected.
You can now use files in Clip Studio format (extension: clip) that have an active timeline and include 3D layers as a file object layer.
In some devices, you can now create a new canvas by copying a 3D layer to the clipboard and using the File menu > Create New From Clipboard.
The appearance of Shortcut Settings dialog > Menu commands > Edit setting will now be maintained even upon subsequent launches.
The application will no longer close if you use the Liquify tool on canvases of a certain size.
After using Animation menu > Edit track > Delete all keyframes and saving the file in Clip Studio format (extension: clip), the parameters near the boundary of the two clips will no longer undergo unintended changes when you next open the file.
In the Graph Editor mode of the Timeline palette, the timeline no longer scrolls upward when dragging keyframes downward.
You can now specify animation cells with layer names exceeding 64 characters from the context menu by right-clicking or long-pressing on the Timeline palette.
When referring to a selection layer or a quick mask using tools such as the Auto Select or Eyedropper tool, they are now treated as layers in the foreground.
When merging layers that include selection layers or quick masks using the Layer menu > Merge selected layers, the selection layers and quick masks will now be rendered in the foreground.
You can now create a new canvas from the File menu > New in Studio Mode without causing a force close on some devices.
The text no longer moves when turning Circular text on or off in the Tool Property palette or the Sub Tool Detail palette, even when selecting circular text with Vertical as the Text Direction.

(Windows / macOS / iPhone / Galaxy / Android) When you are logged in to your Clip Studio account in Clip Studio, tapping on Account will no longer open the browser and prompt a login screen. This excludes Android tablets.
(Windows / macOS / iPad / Galaxy / Android / Chromebook) If another application opens in the foreground while Clip Studio Paint is running, the palette dock settings and the Story window appearance will not be reset.
(iPad / Galaxy / iPhone / Android / Chromebook) In Simple Mode, you can now download brush materials that contain a large number of brush tip images.
(iPhone / Galaxy / Android) On smartphones, if you use Change save location label for file from the Clip Studio project list screen and then don't change the label, the application will no longer force quit.
(iPad / iPhone) Free storage space is now calculated correctly.
(iPad / iPhone) The incorrect confirmation message will no longer appear when using File menu > Save As to overwrite files in Clip Studio format (.clip) with the same name in the Clip Studio folder.

(macOS) When the application frame is displayed on Mac, you can still drag the title bar to move the window even if you repeatedly toggle between Hide title bar and Show title bar.
(macOS) In a multi-display set-up, you can use Pick screen color even if Clip Studio Paint is not displayed in full screen mode.
A command bar has been added to the image list in the Sub View palette. You can import or delete images from the image list screen.
Checkboxes have been added to the image list in the Sub View palette so you can select multiple images.
You can now select multiple images in the Sub View palette’s image list and reorder or move them.
It’s now possible to reorder images in the Sub View palette Image list by dragging and dropping.
When you select the hips of a 3D drawing figure or 3D character material, you can no longer change the Partial rotation setting in the Sub Tool Detail palette > Transform category.
When a ruler’s resize frame is visible and the Object sub tool is set to Always show frame, when you use menu commands such as Edit > Cut, Copy, or Erase, these commands will apply to the ruler inside the frame.
We have changed the layout of the Edit Preset dialog that opens from the Convert to lines and tones dialog > Add to Presets or Edit Preset.
After opening a page in a multi-page project, and using the Object sub tool to move and resize the Story Information text such as the Story name or Page Number, then changing the page numbers or page settings, the font size and alignment will no longer reset to default.
If you change the canvas size of a page in a multi-page project and closing the page without saving, the aspect ratio of the page thumbnail will be updated on the Story window.
The watermark will now be placed in the specified position even if the export range in the Export Settings dialog is set to something other than All pages.
The placement of the noise pattern in the Export settings dialog is now aligned with the preview in the Watermark settings dialog even if the export range in the Export Settings dialog is set to something other than All pages.
(Windows / macOS) In the dialog box that appears from the Story menu > Group work > Prepare group work data or Obtain group work data, the reference guide has been updated.

Improved the position estimating process for 3D drawing figures when a BVH format file is imported with a movement degree set in a non-centimeter measurement and the Lock position option is turned off in the Sub Tool Detail palette > Pose sequence category.
The Import file dialog box will appear when a BVH format file with a short file name is imported.
(Galaxy / Android / Chromebook) On tablets, the Material palette now appears in the correct position when you use Window menu > Workspace > Comic.

On 3D layers, you can now set shadows of 3D materials to be cast onto other 3D materials. You can select where the shadow is projected in the Sub Tool Detail palette under Light source > Shadow.
The interface for Convert to lines and tones has been reorganized to make it more intuitive.
You can now register frequently used settings as presets in the Convert to lines and tones dialog.
Brush type has been added to the Convert to lines and tones dialog box when selecting a 3D layer. When exporting line art for a vector layer, you can select the brush shape to be used.
Grayscale has been added to the Convert to lines and tones dialog when selecting a 3D layer. You can now output a monochrome layer without applying tones.
You can now import BVH files, a file format used to save motion capture data. Use these as a collection of poses for 3D drawing figures and 3D character materials. It is possible to register BVH files as sequential poses.
A Noise pattern has been added to the watermark function to protect your works when uploaded to the internet. When executing Export (Single Layer) or Export timelapse, you can use this function by activating Noise pattern. When recording a timelapse, you can now select between Prioritize quality and Prioritize file size. Prioritize file size will reduce the image quality of the timelapse, but it will output a smaller file.
Support for Apple Pencil Pro Squeeze has been added. The operations of the Apple Pencil Pro in Clip Studio Paint will now change depending on the squeezing operation set in the OS.

File menu > Export animation > Export animation cels now includes File suffix and Separator. You can configure the File suffix to be added to the end of the file names. You can configure the character to be inserted between each item included in the file name as a Separator. (EX)
The Line width dialog opened from the File menu > Export animation > Export animation cels has been changed to the Export settings for PaintMan. The Export settings for PaintMan dialog now allows you to use up to 7 different types of colored lines, in addition to the existing features. You can also configure the color settings for each line and enable or disable them, as well as set the line width for each color. (EX)
A checkbox has been added to the canvas to select whether to display the Number of stories in Story Information when Animation is selected for Project in the New dialog box. (EX)

3D image has been added to the Default tag in the Material palette. You can search for image materials that have been registered as a single 3D layer.

The icon design for the Lasso sub tool has been changed.
The name of the pen sub tool used to fill small leftover areas among the fill tools has been changed to Leftover pen. The values of the default settings have been adjusted, and the design of the icons has been changed.

(macOS) When launching Clip Studio Paint from Draw in Clip Studio and creating a multi-page project from the New dialog, selecting Browse now opens the dialog box for specifying a management folder in the foreground.
(Windows / macOS / iPad / Galaxy / Android / Chromebook) When launching Clip Studio Paint from Draw in Clip Studio, the New dialog box will no longer pop up if only the Page Manager window is open. Note that this excludes smartphone devices.

Color Match has been added to the Edit menu > Tonal Correction. You can adjust the colors of your artwork by importing another image or gradient.
The Layer Comps palette has been added. Layer Comps make it easy to save different variations of your work made with different layers hidden or shown.

Settings in the Export Settings dialog can now be registered as a preset. You can load registered export presets to export again using the same settings. You can also register and load presets in the same way when exporting animations in the Export image sequence and Export animation cels dialogs.
Audio scrubbing has been added to the Animation menu. Audio files will now replay when you move through frames on the timeline.
Clip Studio Paint Ver. 3.0.0 is compatible with the Clip Studio Tabmate 2 handheld device released in March 2024. You can connect it by selecting the Clip Studio Paint logo menu or File menu > CLIP STUDIO TABMATE > Register new Tabmate 2.
We have redesigned the interface of the portal screen that appears when starting the application. The same interface appears even if the device environment such as OS or browser is different. Tap Draw to switch to Clip Studio Paint.
Version 3.0.0 includes the following updates.
Chromatic aberration has been added to the Filter menu > Effect. You can express the color shift caused by misalignment of colored light.
Noise has been added to the Filter menu > Effect. You can apply a fine noise effect to make images look like film.

In the Sub Tool Detail palette when selecting a text layer using the Text tool or the Object sub tool, 3.0.0 has been added to the Compatibility category under Version. Newly entered text in Ver. 3.0 or later is set to 3.0.0 by default.
In the New dialog, you can now overwrite existing presets by registering a new preset with the same name as the existing preset. However, you cannot overwrite the default presets.
Settings in the Export Settings dialog can now be registered as a preset. You can load registered export presets to export again using the same settings. You can also register and load presets in the same way when exporting animations in the Export image sequence and Export animation cels dialogs.

When using Export fanzine printing data, the file name displayed in Printing file name in the binding list display was sometimes different from the exported file name, but files will now be exported with the same file name.
When you export PDF format from the File menu > Export multiple pages menu command while a two-page spread is open, the Batch export dialog will now appear.
